La carte PCI Express USB 3.0 4 ports PEXUSB3S42V vous permet d'ajouter quatre ports USB 3.0 avec deux voies de 5 Gb/s dédiées à votre PC compatible PCI-E x4. L'architecture à ports indépendants améliore la performance de l'USB 3.0 en transférant les données à votre ordinateur sur deux voies individuelles, vous offrant ainsi des vitesses de transfert plus élevées.

Lorsque plusieurs appareils sont connectés, les cartes USB 3.0 traditionnelles à un bus divisent votre bande passante maximale entre les ports. En utilisant un deuxième chipset de contrôleur hôte, la voie de transmission est partagée par deux ports, plutôt que par quatre. L'allocation de 5 Gb/s pour deux ports réduit les ralentissements et double le total dont vous disposez en vous offrant une bande passante pouvant atteindre 10 Gb/s.

Amélioré avec UASP (USB Attached SCSI Protocol), ce contrôleur USB 3.0 est 70% plus rapide qu'un port USB 3.0 conventionnel lorsqu'il est couplé à un boîtier avec prise en charge UASP. Utilisant un protocole plus efficace que le traditionnel USB BOT (stockage de masse « Bulk-Only Transport »), UASP optimise le transfert en permettant le traitement simultané de plusieurs commandes, augmentant ainsi de manière significative les vitesses de transfert.

Pour les appareils USB gourmands en énergie, cette carte PCI-E USB 3.0 comprend un connecteur d'alimentation SATA ou LP4 optionnel à brancher sur l'alimentation de votre système afin d'obtenir jusqu'à 900 mA par port pour les périphériques alimentés par bus USB 3.0 (500 mA pour l'USB 2.0). La carte USB 3.0 prend également en charge les spécifications 1.2 de charge de batterie par USB (mode Apple uniquement), vous permettant ainsi de charger les appareils Apple (iPhone et iPad) plus vite qu'un port USB 3.0 standard.

La carte contrôleur est conforme aux normes USB3.0 tout en étant rétrocompatible avec les appareils USB2.0/1.1 existants. Pour plus de polyvalence, la carte PCI-E USB 3.0 est équipée d'un support de hauteur standard et comprend un support faible encombrement/demi-hauteur pour les ordinateurs compacts.
